United Nations Procurement Roundtable: Aviation Defense and Security

FreeJoin the U.S. Commercial Service New York and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations for a presentation and roundtable for companies in the UAV, Air Charter, ISR, and Security Equipment and Services.
Attendees will hear from Mr. Ivan Ivanisevic, Team Leader for Aviation and Mr. Falah Sultan, Team Leader for Security at the at the UN Procurement Division (UNPD). In 2021, UNPD purchased $7.76 in Aviation and Security Services and Equipment, more than 80% of the $9.5Billion spent on this category by the entire UN system.
Mr. Ivanisevic and Mr. Sultan will discuss the main categories purchased by the UN and the UN Procurement Division and give insights into future needs for the organization.
This event will be informative for suppliers ready to start bidding and those who have bid on past tenders. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions from the speakers. Participation will be limited to U.S. companies with established operations in the relevant sector.

Speaker Bios:
Ivan Ivanisevic, Procurement Officer, Aviation Team, United Nations Procurement Division Ivan is a Procurement Officer in the UN Procurement Division’s Aviation Team. He has served the UN in various procurement and contracts management capacities both in headquarters and in numerous field operations including Yemen, Central African Republic, Sudan, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, etc.
He has also worked in different Emergency Response operations as well as in the private sector. Ivan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from universities in France and United Kingdom.
Falah Sultan, Team Leader, Security Team, United Nations Procurement Division Mr. Falah Sultan is the Team Leader for Security Procurement Team in Procurement Division (PD), based in UNHQs New York, USA. He has diverse experience in managing procurement operations for United Nations (2011 – present) and United Nations Development Programme (1999 – 2011) in the Field Offices, Regional Offices and HQs. Prior to his current position, he held several posts including; Team Leader for HQs Support and Procurement Coordination, Team Leader for Buyer Supervisor Portfolio, Team Leader for Management Services with PD and Procurement Specialist, Head of Procurement Unit, Deputy Chief Procurement and Chief Procurement Department with UNDP.
Mr. Sultan had supported procurement operations both at HQs and Field Offices in the capacity of SURGE Procurement Advisor, Roving Procurement Officer and Procurement Capacity Building (Training) Officer in many duty stations.
Mr. Sultan holds master’s degree in Business Administration, CIPS Diploma as well as many other certificates on procurement oversight and implementation.
