FreeTrade Talks: Liquid Natural Gas’ Global Outlook, featuring Katharine Ehly of the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) will be an interesting and timely discussion of the geopolitical implications of LNG exports and global flows.
About Katharine Ehly:
Katharine Ehly is the Senior Policy Advisor for the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) and Center for LNG (CLNG). She joined NGSA in 2018. In this role, Katharine works with CLNG and NGSA member companies, regulators, legislators and other key stakeholders to provide educational information about the benefits of natural gas. She assists them in developing positions pertaining to regulatory issues that impact LNG exports and affect natural gas producers and marketers.
Before joining NGSA, Katharine worked as a Policy Advisor in the American Petroleum Institute’s Market Development Group where she focused on natural gas exports, trade and international natural gas demand growth, serving as a subject matter expert to expand the use of natural gas in these market sectors. Prior to that, Katharine was the Director of Policy and Research Analysis at American’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA), where she facilitated research activities related to the economic and environmental benefits of increased use of clean, abundant, domestic natural gas and led the LNG exports and trade team.
Katharine has also worked for Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska and as a Legislative Manager for Avenue Solutions, a boutique government relations consulting firm. While attending Graduate School at American University, Katharine served as a Graduate Fellow in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the Department of State, where she conducted research on the foreign policy objectives of democracy promotion and human rights monitoring.
Katharine holds a Master of Arts from American University in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in Political Science with minors in English and History.
