How much do you know about the European Union’s SCIP Database?
June 30, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am
freeJoin the U.S. Commercial Service for a webinar
on June 30 with the European Chemicals Agency
(ECHA) to help U.S. exporters understand and
comply with “Substances of Concern in
Products” (SCIP) registration. The purpose of
this webinar is to enhance U.S. companies’
understanding of, and compliance with, the
registration requirements of SCIP as set out in
the EU’s Waste Framework Directive. The U.S.
Mission to the EU and ECHA, the lead agency on
SCIP, will lead the sessions and a Q&A at the end
of each session will allow for industry
engagement. The first session is for companies
with little to no experience with SCIP. The second
session is for advanced users – companies that
have been entering information into the database
and are actively facing difficulties. Companies are
welcome to attend one or both of the sessions.
*Participants must be U.S. domiciled companies
and/or must have export content (i.e. exports
from the United States to the EU).
*Participants’ exports or final products must fall
under the purview of SCIP database
requirements.
