Doing Business with the Inter-American Development Bank & the World Bank

About the event
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and World Bank (WB) work with the governments of Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC) to develop infrastructure projects to address critical needs in the region.
This event will inform U.S. companies of IDB- and WB-financed public sector projects in LAC in the energy and water & sanitation sectors and advise firms of the private sector financing solutions available for regional projects through these multilateral development banks (MDB).

What to expect
Hear directly from MDB sector specialists, who prepare projects in Latin America & the Caribbean, as well as the investment specialists from the MDBs’ private sector lending divisions, IFC and IDB Invest. After a networking lunch, IDB & WB procurement specialists will highlight the tools available to U.S. firms for identifying projects early-on and will explain how the procurement process works and how to navigate the project documents. U.S. Government (USG) representatives will also information on USG resources available to firms competing in overseas procurement projects, including through the U.S. Commercial Liaisons at the MDBs.

Who should attend
Business development representatives from U.S. companies in industries such as infrastructure, energy, water, sanitation, and environmental technologies would benefit from this event, as well as consulting firms that work in these sectors and/or who offer project supervision services.
